The Trailseeker is constructed on Subaru’s e-Subaru Global Platform with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, featuring Dual-Mode X-Mode with Grip Control and 211 mm of ground clearance. This EV is designed for the detour, the weekend warrior mission, and that road you’ve always wondered about.
“Kiwis asked for more options and we listened, so we are delighted to be bringing in two Trailseeker variants to New Zealand,” says Inchcape New Zealand General Manager Paul Mallard.

Inside, you’ll find a responsive 14-inch HD touchscreen leading the infotainment charge, paired with a 7-inch LCD Multi-Information Display. Dual Qi wireless chargers mean your devices stay powered as readily as your battery pack. The Trailseeker AWD Touring elevates the experience with a 220-volt, 1,500-watt Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) outlet, essentially turning your battery into a portable power station for tools, lighting, and electronics far from civilization.
Safety Deserves Its Own Paragraph
Subaru’s comprehensive Subaru Safety Sense suite is standard across both variants, featuring Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Emergency Driving Stop System, Emergency Steering Assist, Lane Departure Alert, and Lane Tracing Assist. There’s also a Driver Monitor System using in-cabin cameras for distraction and drowsiness warnings, plus an extensive Vision Assist suite including adaptive high-beam technology, blind spot monitoring, and a panoramic 360-degree view monitor. Subaru hasn’t forgotten that going fast matters less than arriving safely.
