With the 2026 World Endurance Championship (WEC) still well underway, Team Peugeot Sport are readying for an even more exciting 2027 season! The French brand’s 9X8 hypercar has gone from strength to strength since it began competing in the WEC Hypercar category and this latest evolution is set to improve its overall competitiveness.

Ahead of the 2027 season, Peugeot are currently working on “technical evolutions” which are set to improve the 9X8’s performance and efficiency, sticking with team’s goal of constant progression. Team Principal, Emmanuel Esnaul is determined to make the 9X8 “rank consistently among the top contenders” not only on track but also off track where he’s focused on creating a legacy for Peugeot at the very pinnacle of endurance racing.
