The shape of Peugeot’s future is.. a Polygon

Peugeot has never been shy about signaling its intentions for the future, but with the arrival of the new Polygon Concept (and its accompanying multi‑country Polygon Roadshow) the French marque is putting its boldest ideas on wheels, packing them into a movable showcase, and sending them across Europe for all to experience firsthand.

A rolling preview of tomorrow

Following its global reveal, the Peugeot Polygon Concept is currently embarking on an ambitious European tour (alas no NZ dates) that will run from January through early June 2026. Dubbed the Polygon Roadshow, the event brings public unveilings, media access, interactive demos and exclusive experiences to major cities across the continent. From Madrid to Lisbon, Paris to London, and Frankfurt to Vienna, the tour forms an immersive touchpoint for the brand’s next-generation philosophy and design language.

To bring this vision to life consistently in each country, Peugeot has developed the Polygon Box, a fully equipped mobile environment designed for rapid setup and a premium brand experience. The Box is modular, features interchangeable components like seats, wheels and steering controls, and essentially functions as a showroom that can be deployed anywhere Peugeot chooses to stop. It’s plug‑and‑play futurism, delivered with French finesse.

A concept car that’s more than a concept

Though wrapped in geometric surfaces and a vibrant, almost playful exterior aesthetic, the Polygon Concept is no static design exercise, it’s a fully operational prototype engineered to showcase Peugeot’s next era of driving sensations. It debuts the company’s groundbreaking Hypersquare steering control, paired with Steer‑by‑Wire technology, to produce a level of agility and responsiveness Peugeot describes as unprecedented. This system won’t remain futuristic fiction for long either; the brand has confirmed that Hypersquare will appear on production road cars as soon as next year, signaling a real shift in how the average driver will interact with their vehicle.

Inside, Peugeot’s signature i‑Cockpit gets a dramatic reinvention. The next‑generation layout features a panoramic 31‑inch windscreen‑projected display, a massive leap from the compact driver‑focused displays the brand pioneered over the past decade. The Polygon’s interior is bright, airy and reimagined to provide both space and simplicity, aligning with the brand’s evolving approach to practical yet premium cabin design.

Sustainability also plays a major role. Peugeot has incorporated recycled materials, modular components and a reduced number of parts into the Polygon’s construction, offering a “future‑proof” strategy for upcoming vehicle platforms. In a market increasingly defined by emissions standards, resource minimisation and lifecycle considerations, this signals Peugeot’s commitment to responsible innovation.

The tour’s first stop – Madrid

The Roadshow officially kicked off in Madrid on 23 January, where the Polygon Concept took pride of place in a busy commercial district near the Nuevos Ministerios metro station. Public viewing days allowed both fans and curious passers‑by to get an early look at the vehicle before it begins its broader trek across Europe.

The itinerary includes:

  • Madrid: 19–26 January
  • Lisbon: 30 January – 7 February
  • Paris: 11–14 February
  • London: 17–22 February
  • Frankfurt: 25–28 February
  • Amsterdam, Brussels, Warsaw, Vienna and more through March
Further dates for April to June will be announced as the roadshow expands.

At each stop, visitors can explore the Polygon Concept’s immersive cockpit, its Micro LED windscreen display and its dramatic design language built around the geometric motif that gives the concept its name. From feline‑inspired exterior cues to its bold LED signature, Peugeot is pushing its familiar design DNA into more architectural territory.

A brand amplifying its presence

Phil York, Peugeot’s Head of Marketing and Communications, captures the sentiment perfectly: the Roadshow’s mission is to raise visibility, amplify the brand and highlight the suite of technologies that will define Peugeot’s next chapter. The Polygon Box and Polygon Concept together serve as a mobile statement piece—an embodiment of Peugeot’s ambition and confidence as it prepares to bring advanced steering interfaces, new design principles and sustainability-led engineering to the mainstream.

The shape of things to come

In many ways, the Polygon Concept feels like Peugeot sketching out its future in three dimensions. Its geometric bodywork expresses clarity and sharpness; its tech suite signals a new relationship between driver and machine; its European tour demonstrates transparency and public engagement rarely seen in concept‑car culture.

The shape of Peugeot’s future, as it turns out, is a polygon, multi‑sided, dynamic, and boldly cut for a new era of mobility.
