It’s the first Leapmotor to be developed on an all new global platform and so even has different names for the Chinese product versus its international counterpart. Called the A10 in China or B03X overseas, the new EV is a “smart premium long-range SUV”.

The B03X was built to address three industry problems, that “premium must be expensive, small cars must be low-tech and compact dimensions must sacrifice space.” Instead, its new platform allows the B03X to offer flagship spec technology, class leading electric range and impressive internal space. It measures in at 4.2m long, 1.8m wide and 1.6m tall to make it city friendly while a 500km CLTC range allows it to go the distance as well. The car comes with all of Leapmotor’s signature design traits as well including the semi-hidden door handles, floating roof and “smile lighting signature.”
Six colours will be available globally and the car is firmly aimed at those first-time EV buyers who are looking at upgrading from an ICE vehicle as well as those who need a second vehicle for commuting.
