The Alpine A290 has officially reached celebrity status, featuring in its first Hollywood film, The Running Man alongside Glen Powell, Emilia Jones, Josh Brolin and more. UK saw the first premiere of the new film at London’s Leicester Square, a red carpet event that was attended by the French hot hatchback.

The film is based on Stephen King’s 1982 novel and the A290 was selected as the vehicle of choice for Emilia Jones’ character, Amelia Williams. The character is “blissfully unaware of her privilege” although she sees an attitude adjustment upon crossing paths with the film’s lead, Glen Powell. All happening while at the wheel of her Alpine A290 of course!

Three A290s were used by Paramount during filming across Romania and the UK, 17 extra body parts were supplied along with spare windows, doors, front wings and lights. All of these spares were used during filming due to the “action packed nature of the film.” Finished in ‘Tornado Grey’, the movie car helped the leading actors evade capture from a group of “professional assassins”, all for a prize of a billion dollars.
A Hollywood film cameo is the latest accolade for the Alpine A290 which has already collected a total of seven major awards since its launch earlier in the year and Nicola Burnside, Brand Director at Alpine Cars commented on the honour of having Hollywood recognize the A290’s “star quality”. Order books for this “four wheeled film star” are now open!
