Car manufacturers often call upon famous individuals to endorse their brands but there are few that can hold a candle to Alpine’s latest ambassador. Zinedine Zidane is an icon of the sporting world, making his name with Real Madrid and Juventus as a player before returning to the former as a championship winning manager.
Zidane is both an ambassador for the French automotive brand as well as a sponsor of its equal opportunities programme. He was also one of the first to take deliver of the new Alpine A290 electric hot hatch. His particular car is a blacked out GT Performance variant. No stranger to titles himself, Zidane’s current car of choice is also this year’s European Car of the Year! After spending time with the car around the streets of Madrid, the French football legend went on to say it was “quite incredible, easy to drive and at the same time sports; a real pleasure!”.
