Audi has pulled the covers off its latest trailblazer, the Q6 e-tron Offroad Concept, delivering an electrifying reinterpretation of the legendary quattro. With a redesigned platform that boosts ride height by 160 mm and widens the track by 250 mm, the Q6 offroad concept offers an authoritative and striking presence. As Audi CEO Gernot Döllner aptly put it, “The Q6 e-tron offroad concept is a reinterpretation of quattro. This vehicle can claim new ground and shows the potential of our Premium Platform Electric (PPE)” .

The innovation lies in its reimagined portal axles, which crank out a jaw-dropping peak torque of 13,400 Nm at the wheels—an increase of 4,400 Nm over standard designs. Though this marvel tops out at a modest 175 km/h, its ability to conquer 45-degree slopes promises unmatched off-road prowess. A vehicle born to dominate extreme terrains, it’s ready to deliver Audi’s signature Vorsprung durch Technik in even the harshest conditions.

Built on the same PPE platform as the Audi Q6 e-tron production model, this concept car promises more than just off-road capability. The Q6 model line sets benchmarks in electric range and charging efficiency, further cementing Audi’s position as a pioneer in the premium EV space. In fact, the Q6 e-tron offroad concept will soon show its mettle at the F.A.T. Ice Race on February 1, 2025, and through Audi Sport’s social media channels.

As Audi ramps up its ambitious portfolio renewal, which encompasses both battery-electric and internal combustion options, the Q6 e-tron feels like a brilliant testament to the brand’s commitment to electrification. From the concept’s emotive design to the performance innovation it represents, the Q6 offroad concept is a glimpse into a bold and exciting new chapter for Audi.
