Nissan has officially premiered the all-new Patrol NISMO, a high-performance variant of its flagship SUV, specifically engineered for the Middle East market. Unveiled at a special event in the region, this latest model from Nissan’s performance division, NISMO (Nissan Motorsports), blends the rugged capability of an SUV with the precision and power of a track-ready sports car, creating what the company calls the “most potent Patrol ever”. The vehicle will be available for purchase across the Middle East starting in July 2025.

Peak Performance Tuned for the Region
At the heart of the new Patrol NISMO is a specially tuned VR35DDTT twin-turbo V6 engine, meticulously assembled by master craftsmen at Nissan’s Iwaki Plant in Japan. Exclusive to the Middle East, this engine has been tuned to deliver a class-leading 495 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque in Sport Mode, the highest output for this engine globally. This region-specific tuning is a direct response to extensive customer feedback from the Middle East, underscoring Nissan’s commitment to the market. The engine, which features a distinctive NISMO-red cover, is paired with a recalibrated 9-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters for a more connected driving experience.
A dedicated team of NISMO engineers retuned the suspension and exhaust system to heighten the sensory experience, providing a more pronounced exhaust note that is further enriched inside the cabin by Active Sound Enhancement (ASE).
Aerodynamic Design and Aggressive Styling
The all-new Patrol NISMO features substantial advancements in design focused on both aesthetics and aerodynamic performance. The front is dominated by a reimagined V-Motion grille with a three-dimensional honeycomb mesh designed to improve airflow to the radiator for better cooling. Aerodynamic efficiency is a key theme, with a new front bumper that channels air to the brakes, reducing disc temperatures by 6%. Grille-side air curtains, layered rear diffusers, an extended rear spoiler, and rear side air splitters all work in concert to reduce lift and increase downforce, ensuring greater high-speed stability and sharper handling.
Signature NISMO red accents are integrated into the “Layered Double Wing” design, and a Formula E-inspired rear fog lamp enhances both the racing aesthetic and safety in low visibility. Customers can choose from five exterior colors, including a NISMO-exclusive Stealth Gray, available in monotone or dual-tone configurations with a contrasting black roof.
The interior reflects the vehicle’s sporty pedigree with a black-and-red color scheme, premium materials like genuine leather and suede-touch surfaces, and carbon fiber-inspired accents. The seats are designed for exceptional support during spirited driving and feature a honeycomb quilting pattern that echoes the exterior grille. NISMO logos on the headrests, red seat belts, a red start/stop button, and aluminum pedals complete the high-performance atmosphere.
An Elevated Driving Experience
The driving dynamics of the Patrol NISMO have been meticulously honed. The recalibrated suspension system features NISMO-tuned E-Dampers, which automatically adjust damping levels in real-time to sharpen responsiveness and improve stability. The electronic power steering has also been specially tuned to be light for city maneuvering while offering assertive confidence on highways and winding roads.
The vehicle rides on 22-inch forged aluminum alloy wheels co-developed with RAYS, a brand renowned in high-performance racing. These wheels are not only visually striking with a unique 9-spoke NISMO design but are also 23% lighter than the base model’s wheels, reducing unsprung weight and improving lateral stiffness and brake cooling. Paired with high-performance tires, these wheels help unlock the SUV’s full cornering potential.
