Meet the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition, a limited-run electric SUV let 300 lucky people own a piece of cinematic history, and it looks like it just rolled out of the Batcave.
Born from a collaboration between Mahindra and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, this isn’t just a car with a few logos slapped on. This is a meticulously crafted homage to Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed The Dark Knight Trilogy. Limited to just 300 units, this is a vehicle designed to move you, not just from A to B.
Pratap Bose, Mahindra’s Chief Design & Creative Officer, says the goal was “to create something so personal, so visually arresting, that owning it feels like owning a piece of cinematic history”. And looking at the details, they’ve obsessed over every single one.
The Dark Knight Details
Forget a quick trip to the paint shop; the BE 6 Batman Edition has undergone a full Gotham-style makeover. The exterior is where the brooding aesthetic of the Caped Crusader truly comes to life.
- Colour: A custom Satin Black finish that looks straight out of Batman’s arsenal.
- Wheels & Suspension: Aggressive R20 alloy wheels are complemented by Alchemy Gold-painted suspension and brake calipers, offering a stark, premium contrast to the dark bodywork.
- Emblems & Badges: The Dark Knight Trilogy Bat emblem is everywhere. It’s on the hub caps, front quarter panels, rear bumper, and even stealthily placed on the windows. The rear features a limited edition “BE 6 × The Dark Knight” badge.
- Lighting: The “Night Trail” carpet lamps project the iconic Bat emblem onto the ground as you approach, ensuring you always make a dramatic entrance.
Inside the Batcave
The theatre continues on the inside. Mahindra has kitted out the cabin with a unique blend of luxury and comic book cool, ensuring the driver feels like Bruce Wayne himself.
- Collector’s Plaque: A brushed Alchemy Gold plaque sits on the dashboard, displaying the unique number of your vehicle out of the 300 made.
- Upholstery & Accents: The interior is swathed in Charcoal leather and suede, highlighted with gold sepia accent stitching. Gold accents continue on the steering wheel, In-Touch Controller, and even the custom key fob.
- Bat-Tech Integration: The Dark Knight Trilogy Bat emblem is embossed on the seats and, most excitingly, on the “Boost” button. The infotainment system features a custom Batman Edition welcome animation, and the vehicle even has custom Batman-inspired exterior engine sounds.
Under the Cowl
This special edition is based on the top-spec BE 6 ‘Pack three’ variant, which comes with a 79 kWh battery pack. It taps into Batman’s legacy of innovation and technical skill, offering a tangible connection for fans. As Vikram Sharma of Warner Bros. Discovery put it, “This collaboration brings that spirit to the road in a bold, electric way… It’s a collector’s statement on wheels”.
The 300 exclusive machines sold out in 135 seconds with deliveries kicking off on September 20, 2025, to celebrate International Batman Day.
