Maserati has announced Casa Maserati, a branded home project that aims to bring the look of its grand touring cars into luxury property for buyers around the world.
Maserati now wants to sell you a home as well as a car. The Italian brand has announced Casa Maserati, a branded home project that takes the Trident badge from the garage to the living room.
This is Maserati’s first move into luxury real estate. It also comes in a busy year for the brand. The Trident badge turns 100, and Maserati is also involved in motorsport.

A Path Other Carmakers Have Taken
Maserati is far from the first carmaker to try this. Porsche, Bentley, Mercedes-Benz, Pagani, Bugatti and Aston Martin have all put their names on housing projects. The list keeps growing.
The reasoning is easy to follow. A luxury car badge promises a certain lifestyle. Branded property lets a carmaker sell that lifestyle without building another car.
For buyers, the name on the front door can matter as much as the floor plan.
What Maserati Is Offering
Maserati says Casa Maserati is aimed at wealthy buyers around the world. It describes them as people who want a luxury home and also want to feel part of the community around the brand.
Maserati’s design style will appear throughout the project. The company says it will turn the look of its cars into interior design, with a focus on:
- sculpted details
- carefully balanced proportions
- high-quality materials
That is the pitch, anyway. It is hard to say yet what this means in practice, because the announcement leaves out the details most buyers would ask about first.
The Missing Details
Maserati has not said where the homes will be, who will build them, what they will cost or when they will be ready. It also has not said how many homes are planned. We don’t know if Casa Maserati will be a single building or a wider programme.
So for now, this is a plan rather than a property listing. Enthusiasts and collectors will have to wait to see how a century of grand touring design turns into real homes.
What the Boss Says
Santo Ficili runs both Alfa Romeo and Maserati. He called the project a new chapter for the brand. He also described real estate as a natural fit for Maserati, which he sees as a lifestyle built on Italian ideas of luxury, as well as a car brand.
Ficili said he wants to build stronger ties with existing customers around the world and reach a wider audience. The second goal may tell us the most. Plenty of people admire Maserati without ever buying one. A branded home gives the company another way to make money from that admiration.
Why It Matters
Branded homes help carmakers keep their name in the public eye between new models, and they earn money from the badge without building cars. For a brand celebrating its emblem’s centenary, the timing makes sense.
Right now, though, Casa Maserati is just a name and a design brief. We will learn much more once Maserati gives the project a real address.
