Suzuki has wasted no time setting the tone for its 2027 model year. The American arm of the Japanese manufacturer has revealed the first wave of its upcoming lineup, and it covers a lot of ground, from a brand-new V-Twin sport crossover to a superbike marking four decades of GSX-R heritage.
All-New SV-7GX and SV-7GXV Sport Crossovers
The headline addition is the SV-7GX, a new sport crossover built around Suzuki’s 645cc 90-degree V-Twin engine. It pairs that motor with ride-by-wire throttle, the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), selectable ride modes, traction control, and a bi-directional quick shifter. A full-colour TFT display with Suzuki Ride Connect+ and an adjustable windscreen round out a specification aimed squarely at riders who want one machine for commuting, canyon roads, and longer touring runs alike.
Alongside it sits the new SV-7GXV, a value-oriented variant of the same platform. Suzuki describes it as broadening access to the V-Twin sport crossover lineup, with touring-focused equipment included.
RM-Z Motocross Family Returns with Championship Momentum
The RM-Z450 and RM-Z250 return for 2027 with meaningful updates rather than a simple carry-over. The RM-Z450 gains new KYB front and rear suspension, lighter wheels, a slimmer subframe, and revised exhaust internals.
The timing is deliberate. Ken Roczen claimed the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship on the RM-Z450, and Suzuki is leaning into that result. Eligible buyers of either RM-Z model can access the RM Army Package, which includes a Championship Replica Graphics Kit inspired by Roczen’s title-winning livery and a Pro Circuit T-6 exhaust system.
A Broad First Wave
Taken together, this announcement spans three distinct segments: road-going sport crossovers, a landmark superbike anniversary, and competition-ready motocross hardware. The SV-7GX in particular represents a new direction, a versatile, technology-rich middleweight aimed at everyday riders rather than track-day specialists.
Suzuki has indicated this is only the first wave of its 2027 lineup, so further announcements are expected. For now, the combination of a genuinely new model, a celebrated nameplate’s milestone, and fresh motocross hardware gives the brand a strong opening position heading into the next model year.
