Range Rover Launches British Summertime Lifestyle Collection Inspired by Tennis and Traditional Craft

Range Rover is not just selling cars this summer (UK time). The brand has launched the British Summertime Collection, a curated set of lifestyle accessories designed to extend its design language beyond the vehicle and into what it describes as the rhythm of modern British life. It is a deliberate step further into luxury lifestyle territory, and the craftsmanship credentials are, at least on paper, substantial.

Two Themes, One Collection

The collection draws on two distinct sources of inspiration: the visual language of tennis culture and the traditions of British craft. Tennis court geometry (linework, symmetry, repetition) runs through the design, while the material choices lean on artisanal production methods. The colour palette references the sensory qualities of a British summer, harmonised with Range Rover’s existing automotive tones, including the brand’s Sunset Gold finish.

It is a considered pairing. Tennis carries strong associations with a particular kind of British summer occasion, and craft heritage gives the pieces a story beyond their appearance.

What the Collection Actually Includes

The range spans several product categories, each made with a degree of genuine specificity about where and how it is produced.

  • Touring Woven Holdall: Tan leather with hand-woven panels inspired by traditional picnic basket construction, real gold hardware finished to match Sunset Gold, and a silhouette that references the rear form of the Range Rover itself.
  • Smaller leather accessories: A Companion Woven Travel Case, City Woven Purse, and Woven Card Holder, each with hand-finished edges and silk linings digitally printed in the UK.
  • Cashmere-wool blanket: A bird’s-eye view of Centre Court rendered as a graphic textile, hand screen-printed in Italy with a hand-whipstitched edge.
  • Parasol and umbrella: Created with heritage umbrella maker Fulton, featuring the Range Rover Motif across the canopy and handles etched with the Range Rover wordmark.
  • Ceramic tea sets: Crafted by artisans in Stoke-on-Trent using UK-sourced clay, available in two colourways (Country House and Country Garden) both finished with Sunset Gold edging.

Textiles are digitally printed at specialist workshops in Macclesfield. The ceramics process emphasises circularity through material reuse. These are not afterthoughts.

A Brand Extending Its Reach

Range Rover describes this as a natural evolution of its position as a modern luxury brand. That framing is worth examining. Luxury automotive brands have long sold merchandise, but this collection is more deliberate in its design coherence, each piece connects back to vehicle proportions, motifs, or finishes rather than simply carrying a badge.

Whether buyers see it as a meaningful extension of the Range Rover experience or simply an expensive gift catalogue will depend on their appetite for this kind of brand storytelling. The production credentials — Stoke-on-Trent ceramics, Macclesfield textiles, Fulton umbrella heritage — do give it more grounding than most.

The British Summertime Collection is available in select markets. Range Rover has not disclosed pricing.
