BRABUS has a reputation for taking Mercedes-Benz’s finest and turning the dial well past eleven. They’re the masters of audacious, unapologetic performance. But with their latest creation, the BRABUS 1000, they haven’t just turned the dial; they’ve ripped it off and thrown it out the window. Based on the already potent Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance, this is a four-door supercar that redefines excess with a staggering 1,000 horsepower.

The heart of this beast is a cutting-edge hybrid powertrain that combines the best of both worlds: pure combustion force and instant electric torque. BRABUS has taken the V8 biturbo engine and increased its displacement to 4.5 litres, coaxing a colossal 796 hp from it on its own. This is then paired with the base car’s 204 hp high-output electric motor mounted on the rear axle.
The result is a combined system output of 735 kW / 1,000 hp and a peak torque figure of 1,820 Nm (1,342 lb-ft). That torque is so immense it has to be electronically limited to 1,620 Nm just to protect the drivetrain from tearing itself apart.
These numbers translate into earth-rotating performance. The BRABUS 1000 catapults itself from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 2.6 seconds. It will hit 200 km/h in 9.5 seconds and scream past the 300 km/h mark in a dizzying 23.6 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 320 km/h (199 mph), likely to preserve the high-performance tires. Power is sent to all four wheels via a nine-speed sports transmission, ensuring that every last horsepower is deployed with brutal efficiency. And for the full sensory experience, a BRABUS high-performance exhaust system with active valves allows the driver to switch from a refined whisper to a full-throated, unapologetic V8 roar at the push of a button.

A car this extreme needs an exterior to match, and BRABUS delivers with a bespoke widebody concept drenched in exposed carbon fiber. Every new component, from the aggressive front spoiler and canards to the signature fender attachments and massive rear wing, is not just for show. This aero package has been finely tuned to generate functional downforce at both axles, keeping the supercar confidently planted at speeds well beyond 300 km/h.
The powerful front-end architecture is completed with signature BRABUS grille inserts, while at the rear, a new carbon diffuser perfectly frames the four 76-millimeter tailpipes. It’s a look designed to create what BRABUS calls a “1-Second-Wow effect,” ensuring it has maximum presence whether it’s parked or blasting past you on the autobahn.
Planted, Poised, and Iconic
To handle the immense power and deliver sharp dynamics, the chassis has been significantly upgraded. The BRABUS 1000 sits on iconic 21/22-inch staggered BRABUS Monoblock Z “Platinum Edition” forged wheels. These ten-spoke wheels are shod in extra-wide high-performance tires from Continental or Hankook, measuring 305/30 ZR 21 at the front and a massive 335/25 ZR 22 at the rear, ensuring phenomenal grip. The stance and agility are further enhanced by height-adjustable BRABUS sport springs, which can lower the ride height by up to 20 millimeters, reducing the center of gravity for sharper cornering and improved aerodynamics.
The Masterpiece Within
Step inside, and you’re greeted by a bespoke “Masterpiece” interior that exudes handcrafted luxury. The entire cabin is upholstered in the finest black leather, contrasted with a black Dinamica microfiber headliner. The seats and door panels feature the intricate BRABUS “Shell” quilting and perforation, a design signature executed with millimeter-perfect craftsmanship.
As a nod to the company’s legacy, “Heritage” brand patterns with the founding year “77” are embossed into the design. Carbon fibre is used extensively, appearing on the pedal pads, center console, and dashboard trim. Accenting the dark, moody cabin are numerous interior elements glazed in the BRABUS signature color “ROCKET RED”.
