Prepare yourselves for a shift in the world of automotive financing, a topic that has famously launched a thousand dinner party conversations. Inchcape New Zealand, the folks who bring Subaru, LDV, and KGM vehicles to the nation, have announced a “white-label finance product partnership” with the venerable UDC Finance. In layman’s terms, getting a loan for your new Forester just got a whole lot more… branded.
This thrilling collaboration is a cornerstone of Inchcape’s “Accelerate+ strategy,” a plan presumably designed to do exactly what it says on the tin. The goal is to create “seamless, end-to-end solutions” for customers, a piece of corporate poetry that essentially means you can buy the car and finance it without ever leaving the dealership’s warm, welcoming embrace. Forget being shuffled off to a random bank; Inchcape’s dealer network can now offer competitive, brand-aligned finance options directly to you, all through one “seamless platform.”

So, what does “white-label” actually mean? Think of it this way: UDC Finance, with its 85-plus years of financial know-how, is the master chef cooking up the loans. Inchcape then serves these loans on plates beautifully branded as “Subaru Financial Services,” “LDV Financial Services,” and “KGM Financial Services.” It’s UDC’s robust financial engine under the hood, but with a shiny Subaru or LDV badge on the front. The ultimate aim, according to the official missive, is to deliver “greater value, flexibility, and convenience to our customers.”
Naturally, the announcement was accompanied by a gathering of the top brass, featuring a veritable who’s who of National Sales Managers and UDC executives, all smiling for the camera to commemorate this monumental handshake. Blair Read, Managing Director of Inchcape Australasia, noted that UDC’s “customer-first mindset” aligns perfectly with their vision. Meanwhile, UDC Finance CEO Don Atkinson highlighted that the partnership strengthens their footprint across the three car brands, simplifying the customer journey.
While the launch of a new financing vehicle may not set pulses racing quite like a new WRX, it’s a genuinely significant move to streamline the often-agonising process of car buying. From July 2025, when you walk into a dealership for a new Subaru, LDV, or KGM, the path from test drive to ownership promises to be just a little bit smoother. Or, as the experts would say, more seamless.
