Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), the country’s largest passenger vehicle manufacturer, to introduce its first eBorn – e VITARA, in India at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The vehicle, coined as an “Emotional Versatile Cruiser,” is built on the HEARTECT-e platform specifically designed for battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
The e VITARA represents Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to sustainable mobility and technological innovation. Equipped with cutting-edge technology and advanced safety features, the electric SUV promises to deliver a superior driving experience while blending contemporary design with functionality to cater to evolving market requirements and customer needs . It was recently unveiled by the Suzuki Motor Corporation in Milan, Italy, ahead of its Indian launch .
Understanding that one of the key barriers to EV adoption is the lack of accessible charging options, Maruti Suzuki is launching a comprehensive EV ecosystem to support the e VITARA. The initiative includes home charging solutions and a nationwide network of fast chargers at Maruti Suzuki dealerships and service centers. This holistic ecosystem is designed to simplify the transition to battery electric vehicle ownership for customers, making EVs appealing and convenient to a broader audience .
Maruti Suzuki has described the e VITARA as a global model, manufactured in India for both domestic and international markets. The company aims to position the SUV as a symbol of its aspirations for a robust, accessible EV ecosystem .
