Inspired by the striking McLaren W1, the RM 65-01 stands as a tribute to the evolution of McLaren’s iconic lineage, following in the footsteps of the legendary McLaren F1 (1992) and the McLaren P1™ (2013). The W1 is not just a supercar; it’s a manifestation of high-performance engineering, elevating the McLaren ‘1’ car lineage with groundbreaking advancements in speed, aerodynamics, and dynamics.
The RM 65-01 McLaren W1 was born from a design brief that demanded the watch reflect the innovative and high-performance characteristics inherent to the W1. The bezel, the thinnest produced by Richard Mille at just 0.5 mm thick, integrates Carbon TPT with satin-finished and polished grade 5 titanium to create a visually captivating combination that emphasizes the watch’s sharp contours.
The skeletonized titanium dial mirrors the intricate patterns of McLaren’s wheel rims, and the use of colours synonymous with the brand enhances the visual appeal. Each detail is designed to evoke the experience of a high-performance supercar while ensuring practicality.
