The world premiere of Volkswagen‘s ID.Buzz and ID.Buzz cargo will take place on the 9th of March at 7PM CET. The new EV takes inspiration from the iconic T1 campervan with a key focus on sustainability.

Volkswagen's ID.Buzz concept spotted on the street
Inspired by the T1’s design, the Buzz combines retro style with an EV powertrain.

VW’s latest additions to the ID family build on the underpinnings of the MEB platform while incorporating some ingenious design. 1,121 litres of luggage space is available with five passengers onboard, those figures are unheard of! So much so that VW actually measured space in the cargo version using cubic metres as a unit. Speaking of which, the space inside amounts to more than 3.9m3. The Buzz is not only practical but stylish as well.

Two tone interior of the Volkswagen ID.Buzz
Plenty of colour choices liven up the interior

There are seven single colour options available and four two tone schemes. The colours themselves hark back to the original T1 and are reflected on the upholstery of the car as well. Background lighting is available in 30 LED colours as well. Adding some more life to the interior is a plethora of ID. Buzz motifs and some familiar practicalities like a bottle opened and an ice scraper. The Buzz will also become the first Volkswagen to include a completely animal free interior so it’s intelligent on many different levels.
