As the electric car revolution gains more and more momentum, car manufacturers are starting to look at more ways to improve sustainability. In other words, they are looking to drastically reduce their carbon footprint. Enter the Kia EV6.

Their revolutionary EV6 has just been ‘product carbon footprint certified’ by the The Carbon Trust. But what does this actually mean?

It means that Kia have done a bit of forward thinking when it comes to the raw materials, manufacturing, transportation, use and recycling of the car. Putting all that together to show their dedication to reducing their carbon footprint. It sets the tone for Kia’s Plan S which will see the company launch 11 battery EVs by 2026.

The interior of the EV6 includes recycled plastic bottles through floor mats and seat coverings meaning that each car contains over 100 recycled bottles.

That’s not the only way in which the EV6 has been a game changer. It has class leading interior space, a large range and 800V ultra-fast charging. Remember, this is Kia’s first car on their e-GMP platform so we can’t wait to see what’s next!
