ANCAP, Australasia’s testing body for car safety have revealed their ‘Commercial Safety Van Comparison’ report which compared the safety performance of 16 different vans on the market. The report concluded that Hyundai‘s new Staria Load is the safest work van on the market!
Thanks to the ‘Advanced Driver Assist System’ or ADAS for short, the automatic Staria Load earned a Platinum badge in crash avoidance. Hyundai NZ’s General Manager highlighted the brand’s focus on commercial vehicle safety was down to treating these vans as people’s workplaces.
Increasing use of these commercial vans in busy built up areas as well as sharing the road with all sorts of vehicles meant safety had paramount importance for Hyundai. The Staria Load is available in a variety of combinations with either an auto or manual gearbox mated to a 2.2 litre diesel engine. It has a carrying capacity of 2500kg and almost 5,000 litres of space!
