Chevrolet have officially announced the launch of an all new Blazer SS. However, it will come with a twist as the SS will only be available as an electric vehicle! The upcoming EV will also be sold alongside its fuel powered siblings when it comes to market in 2024.
First introduced in 1969, the Blazer was a proper butch SUV that was sold over three generations until its demise in 1995. It was replaced by the Tahoe at that point until Chevrolet resurrected the nameplate in 2019 for a new crossover. Now, the Blazer name has been split with the EV SS model being completely unrelated to the fuel powered (ICE) alternative. Differences include a wider stance, light bar, wrap-around rear lights, an illuminated badge at the front and of course the powertrain.
A full unveil is set for 18th July, 2022. More to come!
