Lexus‘ RX nameplate has been around for 24 years and now in its fifth generation, the brand’s core model is pursuing a new driving experience and design. Based on the “Lexus Electrified” vision from which the brand aims to only sell pure EVs by 2035, the RX features its fair share of electric options.
With 3.5 million cars sold so far, it isn’t difficult to see why the RX is the brand’s core model. The latest iteration places a strong focus on “The Lexus Driving Signature” which includes a refined ride with a high level of cabin quietness. ‘DIRECT4’ all wheel drive system is available with the hybrid RX500h F-Sport model and this works in conjunction to deliver a grip filled invigorating drive.
An all new 2.4L turbo hybrid DIRECT4 powertrain is one of the headline acts of this new car. There is also a 2.5L engine variant which is available with either a hybrid or PHEV powertrain. A pure petrol 2.4L AWD RX is also included in the range. Lexus’ Safety System+ is also advances on the new RX.
